To Meet with Institutional Investors

Former U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton will visit South Korea to meet with institutional investors. He is currently an advisory member of Rhone Group, an American private equity fund.

Rhone Group is scheduled to have meetings with institutional investors such as the Public Officials Benefit Association and the Korea Teachers’ Credit Union in Seoul on Oct. 24 and 25.

“He was a key figure in charge of the U.S. government’s national security, diplomatic and North Korea policies and his remarks still attract much attention,” said an investment banking source, adding, “It seems that his upcoming visit is to introduce the company he is currently working for and to attract investments.”

He joined the private equity fund immediately after his resignation in September this year. Established in 1996, it is currently investing in various companies, including chemical, consumer goods, food, packaging and transport, and its total assets are approximately US$8.5 billion.
