Start-up FITT (https://www.fitt.kr) announced on March 15 that the company was visiting the UK and Germany as part of an overseas market development and market research program of the Gyeonggi Innovation Center from March 5 to March 18.

In the UK, FITT made presentations for investment purposes at accelerators such as Dreamstake and Dotforge and received feedback on business models. The Korean start-up explored the possibilities of entering the market through visits to the local health studio and surveys. In Germany, they also agreed to jointly research and cooperate with Olympic Training Centre Rhineland in Cologne, Germany in the future.

FITT is a star-up to develop a web service that allows people go to health clubs and check their physical conditions and receive advices, a first in Korea.

Kingston University in the UK decided to collaborate with FITT on an experimental study on cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and metabolic diseases that will be needed in the UK market.

FITT has already shared research data with the Olympic Training Centre Rhineland since last year. So the start-up has the strategy to check actual exercise data through this visit and enter the European market with the German market as a bridgehead. FITT received positive feedback from current German experts after making a presentation on FITT Exercise Test. In particular, the Olympic Training Centre Rhineland recommended a joint development of necessary software and said its researchers will visit FITT for a healthcare forum in October this year.

Hong Seok-jae, CEO of FITT said, "The world fitness market for pre-prophylactic health care is growing rapidly 30 percent every year. Especially, this visit for market research resulted in big positive responses about the FITT exercise test program from local people. So we expect to make a foray into overseas markets this year.”
